Really strange, I've lived in the country for the past 15yrs or so, but I cannot ever remember seeing these amazing stacks of wheat. I don't even know what they're used for. But I thought they looked beautiful, so they deserve a spot in my 365!

As far as I know these "puppets" (so they are called in German) are used for drying the corn. And for hiding twosomes;-)
In Germany I haven't seen these "Kornpuppen" for a very long time. I thought they dissappeared with the industrialisation of our agriculture but I know them from my father's stories and old photos.
